My curiosity in and around this goes back a year or two when I stumbled over Richard Rogers issue crawler software. I've been collecting bibs and bobs since then and signed up for an online SNA course which I ended up not having time for but will get to over the next few months. I've been collecting some of the papers of Tommaso Venturini. The paper1 written with Daniele Guido is a useful beginning point which meshes the origins of the ANT community's interest in the analysis of web-based and text data.

Stephen Heimans has set up a Controversy Maps site on which a curation of work around these ideas will be put together.
