Curating ignorance: March 2015

17th March

Stephen Heimans kindly invited me to work with him on a paper around these ideas back in January. I'm just getting back to it though I keep finding folk that are as intrigued by not knowing, by asking better questions and so on as I am.

This is not a great book but I do like the gathering of such a diverse set of folk around the notion of questions: Berger, W. (2014). A more beautiful question : the power of inquiry to spark breakthrough ideas. New York, NY: Bloomsbury USA. It underlines the silliness of a lot of contemporary formal education which places so much store in people being able to recall stuff, exactly the thing that machines are good at.
