Stumbled over a headline in Foreign Policy email of all things: what hip hop can teach academia. Might be just another blind alley but it appeals. Could not find the piece in Foreign Policy but picked up a report by Martha Diaz: RE-IMAGINING TEACHING AND LEARNING: A SNAPSHOT OF HIP-HOP EDUCATION. Just skimmed the intro and it locates itself in the space which appeals to a bunch of my biases and probably some I am unaware of.

I know little of hip-hop apart from the bits I have stumbled across via broadcast media. I don't have the time to do the PCP thing with it but am intrigued that the l-word is being enacted in these kinds of spaces.
