PCP book: May 2016

An essay in Aeon by Keith Frankish is yet another useful addition to the muddled mix in my mind which, after reading the Frankish piece, is something I have more wondering to do about. It does mesh with the notion though of telling ourselves when something clicks. Also a useful pointer to the work of Peter Carruthers.

A tweet from Frances Bell this am pointing to a blog post by Jon Udell nudged this wee project into some sort of life.

It prompted me to gather all the bibs and bobs I have scattered all over the hard disk into one place and revisit the Scrivener file where I was reminded on the big find, Julian Jaynes, the Origin of Consciousness.

My scribble in Scrivener:

Jaynes, J. (1990). The origin of consciousness in the breakdown of the bicameral mind. Boston: Houghton Mifflin.
It’s all in here… the click.. the unconscious etc.

Time to revisit that and my opening chapters.
